How basic research at U of T saved a Mountie in Labrador

An associate professor in the Department of History, Heidi Bohaker specializes in North American Aboriginal history (with a focus on the northeast and Great Lakes regions), pre-Confederation Canada and ethnohistorical research methodologies.

But within Bohaker’s personal history lies a deep connection to one of the most significant events in the history of the University of Toronto: the discovery and development of insulin.¬†
