Vaccine Virus (Smallpox Vaccine)
Vaccine Virus is a living virus which will retain its activity until the date stamped on the package provided it be constantly kept at refrigerator temperature. Higher temperatures even of the cellar room quickly destroy the virus.
Methods of Vaccination
(1) Scratch or Incision Method. Cleanse site with soap and water, alcohol or ether. When perfectly dry, without drawing blood, use sterile needle to make near deltoid insertion two scratches no more than 1/16-inch long and about 1½ inches apart. Wipe capillary tube of virus with alcohol swab and break off one end. Push opened end of tube into rubber expelling-bulb until [end of text]
